In March of this year, Conference Partners had the pleasure of organizing the first combined meeting of the British Limb Reconstruction Society (BLRS) and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association of Ireland (OTAI) in Dublin Castle. The theme for the meeting was “Evolving Techniques in Musculoskeletal Trauma” and included keynote lectures, presentations on general as well as controversial topics and subspecialty sessions on current and evolving techniques. The debates stimulated many discussions amongst the delegates who actively participated throughout the conference days.
The gala dinner was held in the world-renowned Old Jameson Distillery while the “Trauma Dinner” was hosted in Fire Restaurant. Both evenings were well attended and ensured that delegates had an opportunity to relax and network in two of Dublin’s most popular venues. Many delegates also chose to extend their stay in Ireland and visit other parts of the country following on from the conference. Overall, the Joint Meeting was a huge success and further consolidated relationships amongst the BLRS and the OTAI.
