Case Study
Solar Ireland 2023

Solar Ireland 2023 took place at the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, Cork on November 22 2023. The Irish Solar Energy Association was delighted to celebrate its tenth anniversary at a time when the solar industry was scaling up. The event had previously been hosted in Dublin but in an effort to increase delegate numbers, the decision was made to move the conference to Cork in 2023. The reason for this was because a substantial number of previous attendees came up to Dublin from the southwest, moving the conference made it accessible to more people.

CPI took on the Solar 2023 conference project only six months prior to its scheduled date in Cork. The objective for Solar 2023 was to enhance and expand the Irish Solar Energy Association’s annual conference compared to previous years. The goal was to attract a larger number of delegates and elevate the event to a broader national platform. This would create an opportunity for existing and new members to network in a comfortable and professional environment conducive to business collaborations. The primary aim was to offer the Irish Solar Energy Association and its members a platform to openly explore and discuss the key opportunities and challenges within the sector.

The Irish Solar Energy Association had the pleasure of welcoming Mary Lou McDonald, TD and Leader of Sinn Fein, to give the keynote address. She spoke about the goal of an energy independent Ireland which will not be possible without the help of the people in the room at Solar 2024; Both singularly and collectively driving this transformation with the help of government support.
