CPI is working again with their charity partner Safe Ireland providing their management services pro bono.

CPI is currently in its final stages of preparing for the Safe World Summit, taking place on the 22nd – 23rd October. The Summit, hosted by Safe Ireland, is the largest event on gender equality and gender-based violence to take place in Europe this year.  It is expected that there will be 400 people at the event both days.

It brings together over 35 world leading activists, advocates, lawyers, scientists, journalists, writers, artists and survivors.  Their aim is to explore the creative and innovative solutions that are needed to make the world safe and equal, starting with eradicating violence and control in the home.

This year, Safe Ireland is also partnering with Spunout.ie to ensure active youth engagement throughout the event.

CPI was first asked to assist with the Safe Ireland Summit in 2016 and agreed to take it on pro bono and make Safe Ireland their charity partner. CPI provided their management services free of charge which included delegates, speakers, accounts and finance, accommodation, venue and supplier management. The 2016 Summit was ‘the beginning of an uprising, gathering together the minds and passion of leading status quo disruptors’. Its momentum rippled across Ireland and inspired a drive and ambition for a safer world.

Move to 2018 and the partnership is continuing with CPI maintaining their charity partnership and providing services free of charge. This year’s event will see first time presentation visits to Ireland from a number of world renowned speakers, including Dr. Edith Eger, a Holocaust survivor who went on to become a prolific author and clinical psychologist. The impressive line-up of speakers can be found here.

Speaking on the Summit, Sharon O’Halloran, CEO of Safe Ireland says:

“We are really excited about the transformative impact that this event can have on the future.  Our Summit is happening at a time when we are witnessing a regressive resurgence of domination and fear politics across Europe and the world.  We have to counter this by developing a whole new world view that is built on equality, tolerance, safety and love. It is this ambition and this progressive vision that is at the heart of the Summit that has attracted so many phenomenal speakers to Dublin.
